TOBIAS PAICE – AUDIO DIRECTOR

Moving to Montreal created the opportunity to combine Tobias’ two lifelong passions of audio and video games. Not only was it possible to work on video game audio but to be paid for it seemed like a dream come true. Now with an audio career spanning more than 20 years, with 16 of those specialising in video game audio, Tobias is well versed in creating and shipping interactive audio projects and still living the dream.

He has had the privilege to work with some of the biggest companies in the world such as EA, Warner Brothers and Google as well as a sprinkling of indies, on some great franchises with many talented people. He now puts this experience into practice at the head of Droid Cry.


HAMISH OLIVER COMPOSER

Hamish is a composer, sound designer, musical director, arranger and performer. He holds a Master’s degree in composition and lectures in music composition, arranging, production and game audio at Canterbury University.

He has toured Japan, China and Australia; arranged music for Shapeshifter, Alien Weaponry, Phoenix Foundation; and performed with Elaine Paige and Serj Tankian. He is a longstanding member of the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra (piano/celeste), improvises at the Court Theatre, is on the Composers Association of NZ committee and has been helping organise the Christchurch Game Dev meetups since their inception.


THOMAS HANSEN – COMPOSER

Thomas is a Scottish composer and music editor based in Brighton. He started playing drums at age 7 as an excuse to get out of class, and later toured and recorded with countless bands, learning new instruments as he went along. Eventually he pursued formal education, earning two Masters degrees: one in music from the University of Glasgow and one in composition for screen from the University of Edinburgh. He then apprenticed with legendary American composer Jason Graves before returning to the UK where he continues to work on a variety of projects from indies to AAA.


JAMES ELSEY COMPOSER

James Elsey is a London-based Composer with a passion for video games and interactive music. He has experience in AAA, Mobile and Indie on titles such as Evil Dead: The Game, Beatstar, Chrome Valley Customs, Welcome To Hanwell, Grey Skies: A War Of The Worlds Story and Amazing Frog.

James also composed the main theme for Fully Ramblomatic, the successor to the legendary, video game review show 'Zero Punctuation' with Yahtzee Croshaw. Prior to that working with the team at The Escapist on their feature length Documentaries and covering beloved Franchises such as; Divinity: Original Sin, Insurgency, Darkest Dungeon, Eve: Online and Spiritfarer.
